Brace yourselves, readers. You're entering a blog with belligerent rants/reviews, chaotic writings, incompetent; pointless fangirling... and, oh yeah, GIFS. Fuckloads of them... did I also mention some swearing? I'm an eighteen-year-old girl majoring in Theatre Arts. I may not be an excellent writer, but gosh, I love doing it.

City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

City of Ashes - Cassandra Clare

*rubs temples* Never again. I give up on this series. I can't take it any more. I'm done. Please, don't tell me to continue or I'll scream. So many things wrong with Clare's writing/storyline -- so many . How dare the starred reviewers say this is a reminiscent to Harry Potter -- how dare they. This is nothing compared to Harry Potter, nothing. The only reason this story sometimes reminded you of the HP series is because Clare copied

Clary. Clary, Clary, Clary. I have never, in my whole entire life, wanted to hurt a character so badly as I wanted to hurt Clary. I loathe her. I loathe a fictionalcharacter. She was a stupid girl, I mean stupid -- with no brains; she was a complainer, a crybaby, a nasty fifteen-year-old, and just plain annoying. She screamed off of every. Little. Thing. She gets mad easily, and she's a fake. First, she's constantly thinking about Jace -- her brother . Nevermind Simon, she's always forgetting him. He's nothing to her and she never felt the same way he felt for her. But oh no, something happens to Simon and she's screaming at Jace; blaming him, she's screaming how she loves Simon. I just.... I can't with her any more.

Jace. Disgusting. He's in love with his sister. They go to the Seelie Court and to free Clary, because her dumb ass got herself into a lot of trouble with the Faerie Queen, he has to kiss her. They make out 'passionately' as Clare wrote... and fiercely. *Shakes...my...freaking...head.* Clare, you are disgusting for writing about incest. And the rest of these users who marked this book 4 stars and up are disgusting for enjoying the Clare/Jace (brother/sister) romance. I'm scared to know what's going on in ya'll house. Smh. (I apologise if this offended you, I truly am sorry, but this can't be left unsaid.) The average user rating is 4.30?! Are you kidding me? Anyway, Jace, Clare, Isabelle, and Alec arrived back at the institute and Jace is getting ready to hop in the shower, keep in mind Clary is inside his room waiting, so he came back out and just stared at her. Clary was staring back and she could feel her face flush.

He went up to her; placed his hands on her face, and told her he couldn't take it any more. He wants to be with Clary. She asked him how are they supposed to see each other; he replied, 'They don't have to know, it can be secret.' she shook her head and said, 'it's wrong...I think...maybe...I don't know.' And I'm just sitting up here like, 'You don't know? You don't know being in love with your brother is a filthy sin? That it's incest? Huh.' and Jace got all mad and said, 'Fine, I won't be kissing you any more -- you can count on that.' and I'm like, 'YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO NOT KISS HER BECAUSE SHE'S YOUR SISTER. Good Lord!'

I don't care if, by the end of the third book, Clary and Jace turned out not to be brother and sister. Point blank, they thought they were related and Valentine told them they were his children, so it doesn't make it okay.

Oh, and before I end this review, let me point out I saw a funny comment made by a person stating, 'Cassandra Clare > J.K. Rowling. Oh yeah I went there.' Ha, you could tell a lot about a person from their choice of authors/series... a lot. That's all.
